Terms of service

These terms are between you and DoorTruth (“we”). By creating an account or using DoorTruth you agree to them.
What DoorTruth is
DoorTruth turns public and licensed property data into estimates: value after repairs, repair costs, rents, Section 8 limits, cash flow and the most to pay under each plan. They are estimates, not an appraisal, inspection, or legal, tax or financial advice. Data can be late, missing or wrong. Check comps with an agent, repairs with a contractor, insurance with an agent, and local rules with the city or a lawyer before you make an offer. You make your own decisions, and you’re responsible for them.
Your account
- One free account per person. You need a real email and mobile number.
- Keep your sign-in to yourself. You’re responsible for what happens on your account.
- You must be 18 or older and in the United States.
Plans and billing
- Free: 3 full reports, one time. Opening a saved report doesn’t use one.
- Starter: $14.99 a month for 20 reports per billing month. Unused reports don’t carry over.
- Pro: $49.99 a month for unlimited reports for your own deals, under fair use: up to 30 reports a day, no reselling, sharing an account or automated pulling.
- Plans renew monthly until you cancel. Prices are in US dollars; sales tax is added where the law requires it. We’ll email you at least 30 days before a price change.
- A free month, when offered, turns into a paid month unless you cancel before it ends.
Referrals
- After your first report you get a referral link. Each person who signs up with it, confirms their email and phone, and runs a report gives you 2 extra reports (up to 40 in total). Extra reports don’t expire and are used after your plan’s own reports.
- When 3 people you referred have counted, you get one free month, once: a credit for one month of your plan if you pay, or 30 days of Starter if you’re on Free.
- Accounts made from your own device, or to get around limits, don’t count, and we can remove rewards earned that way.
Affiliate terms
- Affiliates are approved by us. Approved affiliates earn 30% of what each customer they bring pays (before sales tax), for that customer’s first 6 paid months, while the affiliate account is in good standing.
- A customer is yours when they sign up within 60 days of clicking your link and weren’t already a DoorTruth customer. Your own accounts don’t count.
- Payouts go out monthly by PayPal or bank transfer once the customer’s payment has cleared. Refunded or disputed payments are taken back. We may ask for a W-9 before paying.
- Say that you earn a commission whenever you share your link (FTC rule). No spam, no paid search ads on the DoorTruth name, no claims we don’t make (DoorTruth gives estimates, not appraisals or advice). We can end an affiliate account for breaking these rules; commissions already earned on cleared payments are still paid.
Canceling and refunds
Cancel anytime from Account → Manage billing. Your plan stays until the end of the month you’ve paid for, then you move to Free and keep your saved reports. We don’t refund partial months, except where the law requires it or if a billing mistake was ours. Questions: hello@doortruth.com.
Fair use
Don’t scrape, copy or resell DoorTruth’s data or reports, share a paid account, try to get around limits or break the site. We can pause or close accounts that do, and refund any unused prepaid time if we close a paid account without cause.
Reports you share
Deal packets you download are yours to send to partners, lenders and buyers. Each one says which numbers you changed. Don’t remove the DoorTruth marks or present the estimates as an appraisal.
Limits on our responsibility
DoorTruth is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for losses from decisions made using it, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we’ll email you before it takes effect. Texas law governs these terms.
